PRIVACY NOTICE · VERSION 1.0

Your information should be handled with care and clarity.

This notice explains how Sector Bridge Talent, operated by Josh Malone, uses personal information when providing permanent recruitment services. Questions and rights requests can be sent to josh@sectorbridgetalent.co.uk.

Information we may use

We may use your name, contact details, location, work history, CV, qualifications, salary expectations, availability, role preferences, interview and application progress, communications and permission to submit your details to a particular employer. Employer and client contacts may include business contact details, vacancy requirements, terms and communications.

Information may come directly from you, from an employer, from a job board or professional platform you use, from a referral, or from publicly available professional information. We will tell you the source where required.

Why we use it

We use information to discuss opportunities, assess potential matches, communicate with candidates and employers, arrange interviews, manage offers and placements, keep appropriate recruitment records, protect the service and meet legal obligations.

Depending on the situation, the lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in providing and administering proportionate recruitment services. Where legitimate interests apply, we consider necessity and the effect on your rights. Permission to send a CV to a named employer is recorded separately.

Please do not initially send identity documents, bank details, health information, criminal-record information or other sensitive material. If special-category or criminal-offence information becomes necessary, we will identify an additional legal condition and explain the process.

Who receives information

Candidate information is shared with a prospective employer only for a relevant opportunity and after the candidate's permission is recorded. Information may also be processed by carefully selected providers supporting secure hosting, authentication, document storage and business email, including Supabase, Vercel and Proton.

Providers may process information outside the UK. Where this occurs, we rely on an applicable adequacy decision or contractual and technical safeguards required by data-protection law. We do not sell candidate information or operate a public CV database.

How long we keep it

Ordinary candidate profiles and CVs are reviewed after 12 months without meaningful contact. We then confirm there is an active reason to retain and update the information, or delete it. Unsuccessful enquiries that do not become an active recruitment relationship are normally deleted after 90 days.

Intrusive vetting material is removed as soon as it is no longer needed. Limited placement, contract, invoice or dispute records may be retained for up to six years where required for accounts, tax, contracts or legal claims. Backup copies are rotated and normally kept for no more than 30 days. A shorter or longer period may apply where the purpose ends sooner or a documented legal reason requires it.

Security and website use

Recruitment records and CVs are held in a private authenticated workspace with account and database access controls. Backups are access-controlled and handled as confidential records. Email is useful for initial contact but should not be used to send unnecessary sensitive documents.

The public website does not currently use enquiry forms, advertising trackers or non-essential analytics cookies. The private founder workspace uses strictly necessary authentication data to maintain a secure signed-in session.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. We may need proportionate information to confirm identity. We respond without undue delay and normally within one month.

Contact josh@sectorbridgetalent.co.uk. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Effective 17 September 2026. This notice will be reviewed as the service and its processing activities develop.
